On The Campaign Trail

The Madison Area Music Awards (MAMAs) has kicked off its latest voting cycle effective February 16. We have submitted a few items from our 2007 release, “Takin On The Rain”. We have listed a few songs as items for individual consideration as well as the entire album for Yo Mamas votes. You, the listening public, can go to http://www.themamas.org and vote for your faves. Sure, it costs $5. But it’s money well spent… all the proceeds go towards music education programs in the Madison area. This is from the Mamas website: “MAMAs, Inc. is organized and operates exclusively for charitable or educational purposes, as defined in Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The mission of the MAMAs is to support the preservation and expansion of all forms of music education in the Madison area, and to encourage and promote the artistic advancement of our emerging musical youth”. And, check this out! They have a Mission Statement AND a Vision Statement which is more than most of can say for ourselves. (”Whatever” doesn’t even qualify as a philosophy of life.)

So come on out and vote, and do something good with your money at the same time. Of course, we’d love it if you voted for us. But it isn’t necessary. Just vote… Vote early, vote often… Keep your socks up off the floor.
