House Concerts

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

We have been doing House Concerts for a few months now, and we are lovin’ it! They are easy, comfortable, intimate, cozy, free-wheeling… they have it all. We have been tapping friends and acquaintances for interest in hosting and hope to put a few more together in the next few months. Here’s all that is necessary for the Host:

1. Have a house or some sort of enclosed structure that is safe from wind, rain, and snow
2. Set aside a couple of hours say, 7:00pm to 9:00pm for us to play. Then expect that it will run much longer than that because these things never start on time and the 15 minute intermission always runs to 30 or 40… Why? Because most of the attendees are there for the comfortable chairs and the light conversation and snacks. If they also get a chance to hear some live music, call out requests, hear some stuff they know and stuff they don’t, and hang out with friends, well… lucky them.
3. Invite a bunch of friends and ask them to rsvp so you can plan on seating
4. Work with us on the details of promotion and expectation
5. Sit back, relax, and we’ll do all the rest.

Interested? Let us know by going over to the Contact Us page and sending us a note. Could be the start of something big.
